Yes, this site is Powered by You!

The site content is 100% member supplied and below are some useful tips:

  • The "ABC Not For Profit Organization" calls you to solicit a donation.  You ask them to remove your name and number from their call list.

  • How do you know that they removed your information and added you to their donotcall list?

  • Make sure you get a contact name, company name, website name, phone number, email address or something to verify that your name is actually on the abc in-house donotcall list.  Most people make the mistake of saying "take me off your list" but the correct reply should be "put my name and number on your donotcall list please"

  • If you can't verify that your name and number is on their donotcall list then you should expect more calls from them.

  • If they give you contact information (as they must) then post your new found information on donotcall.ca with the above link called "Add New Telemarketer Info"

  • After you add this information to our directory it will be easier for others to find and send donotcall requests if desired.

  • If the telemarketer has an email address we highly recommend sending them a letter stating your request to be added to their donotcall list.  Make sure you "cc" (carbon copy) documented@donotcall.ca and we will archive your communication for later use if needed.  In the subject line type "Add 1-234-567-8910 to your internal donotcall list" (use your phone number not 1-234-567-8910)

  • Have more information or found some new information about a listed telemarketer or solicitor? Post it on the "post comments" page of that organizations listing.

  • If a solicitor will not give you any contact information then we suggest listening to the telemarketers spew and ask all kinds of questions!  Use the spew they gave you to further search and seek information online (have fun and be the detective)  When you find them...be sure to post the information on www.donotcall.ca

  • Provide helpful hints, tricks and tips in our public forums or on comment pages of specific listings.

  • Rate the customer service experience that you received from listed organizations.
